POSITION SUMMARY / BASIC FUNCTIONS:  The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Assistant Manager, the Restaurants Manager and the Vice President of Food & Beverage (F & B) in overseeing the operation and staff of the restaurant to maintain the highest level of standards and efficiency. 


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years restaurant experience
  • One (1) year supervisory experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations
  • Well organized
  • Excellent customer service and highly developed communication skills
  • Computer literate 


  • Oversee operations along with and in the absence of the Manager/Assistant Manager
  • Maintain knowledge of, abides by, and enforces Colorado Liquor laws
  • Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant, furnishings and workstations.
  • Provides a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff, members and guests.
  • Monitor food quality and service level; resolves and coaches' staff as needed or required.
  • Maintains the service standards of excellence.
  • Assists with hiring, training, testing and maintaining updated training manuals.
  • Assists with monitoring payroll and revenue daily
  • Assists with ordering, organizing and inventory control of all products
  • Reads and responds to emails daily and assists the door staff with calls and seating of the guest
  • Responds proactively to staff and guest concerns.
  • Answers and responds to phone messages
  • Attends and conducts daily staff meetings.
  • Engage in wine service and training with the staff to be able to describe the taste and aroma of in a way the guest understands and to make logical pairing of Food and Wine when asked
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in the culinary, wine and liquor industry
  • Available to work various hours and shifts dictated by needs of the operation
  • Practice safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the Restaurants Manager and/or the VP of Food & Beverage and the VP of Human Resources. 


  • Scheduling of staff according to occupancy level and forecasting, and reviews BEOs
  • Assures all side work is updated and duties are performed by the staff before releasing them from the shift
  • Interface positively with other departments, helping when needed
  • Ability to work any assigned shift / work schedule
  • Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the Restaurants Manager, VP of Food & Beverage, Executive Committee, President & CEO or Owners
